Driver Intervention
This program is offered on a residential and non-residential basis to all Ohio and Kentucky residents who are 18 years of age or older and who are required to attend a certified weekend Driver Intervention Program (DIP).
The non-residential outpatient program is for persons convicted of DUI who have served their jail time or persons charged with reckless operation who are required to attend an education program in order to have driving privileges restored.
The weekend residential program is for persons convicted of DUI who are required to spend 72 hours in a weekend program as an alternative to jail. Participants stay at the facility for the entire weekend.
During the DIP weekend, we also provide a remedial driving course on Saturday for persons who need a two-point reduction on their license, whether they are required to attend the DIP or not.
DIP programs are currently all held at the Portsmouth location.
